Clinging to the southwest edge of the Sta. Rita Hills in northwestern Santa Barbara County, The Hilt Estate is shaped by near-constant Pacific winds and sustained by ancient marine soils. Its vineyards—Bentrock, Radian, and Puerta del Mar—have steadily earned reputations as elite sites for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
In the years since these vineyards were acquired, the production and farming team have pushed these rugged and extreme sites to new levels of quality, producing some of the most exciting singular expression Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in the world. Today The Hilt Estate is at the forefront of viticulture and winemaking for not only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but also for Syrah, Riesling, Chenin Blanc and méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine.
